June 6, 2006 or 6-6-6 it’s the date when the first ever Myx Music Award was held. There was a belief that 666 is a curse numbers or bad luck daw. But an important event occurred that totally blew off the bad omen of the said numbers.
It was 7pm when celebrities start showing at the red carpet walk of the MMA at the 2nd level on Greenbelt 3 (Onstage). First on the list is (as far as my arrival is concern), Ms International Precious Lara Guigaman she was beautiful and alone when she got in the venue and also rock band all over the place. I spotted Orange and lemon, Sponge Cola, Hale, Cueshe, Mich and her band mates, Pamela Barranda, Budoy and male crowds favorite entrance is Keanna Reeves in her ala-trahe de boda attire and why wouldn’t be her eh guys have direct access to her cleavage..pati ako napatingin haha. After a few minutes later nabuhay na naman ang mga kalalakihan with lil envy in their heart because getting closer is The Prince of Pop Erik Santos with a hot lady walking beside him the Bombshell Ms. Rufa Mae Quinto. While the lads are busy screaming for Rufa Mae’s name the gals on the other hand is busy uttering for EERRIKKKK!!!! When the two beautiful couple is finally on the red carpet and having some interview Rufa Mae I guess did almost all the talking while Erik is just smiling hmmm there must be some juicy questions. 
Up next is the entrance of Christian and Rachelle Ann Go. I smell some disappointment boys..hehe tahimik yata ang crowd. Rachelle look stunning and sexy she just didn’t surpass the girls before her!
And so almost all celebrity attendees are already inside while us is still thinking of ways how to get there good thing with a lil help from Dj Laila of Wrr and shempre konting diskarte nakapasok kaming lahat.hindi naman kami papayag na kami kami lang ang makakapanuod noh kaya on the go lahat ng fanatics na nagpunta.
When everybody is in place the awards night kick off with a production number from various artist which I didn’t care to remember. And of course after that a spiels from the Myx VJ’s and unveiling the winners from diff category. One of the many funny moment that night is when Teri Onor plus yung kasama nia presented the MMA Favorite Remake category, Mark Bautista won the said category for the song I need you and since he was not present that night Teri accepted the award in Mark’s behalf. He said something like sadya daw na wala si mark para sila ang tumanggap kasi yun lang naman daw ang gagawin nila at kinanta pa nia yung I need You at inangkin talaga nila yung award ni mark basta sobrang funny.
There was also a great production number from the legendary Pepe"s Smith, The Juan something something band hehe diko matandaan eh and Sandwich. Whoa..kala ko sisirain na nila mga gamit sa stage. Meron din production number from Parokya ni edgar and Kamikazee they sang Order Taker..sobrang saya ng production number naito ang kulit ng dalawang banda nakakatuwa. Another Production number is the Sharon Cuneta song medley she was also given a special award by myx the Magna Award. Kamusta naman ang pagkakalat ni Jasmin Kurdi..Mali mali ang lyrics nia ng Mr. DJ andun pa man din si Mega. At kamusta rin paglalaglag nia sa kanyang sarili nanalo daw siya kasi marami siyang simcards..anway she won New Artist. Other winners are (I hope I can remember it all)

And when the category for Fave mellow Vid was announce and the winner turn out to be against Erik..grabe nanlambot kami we’re slowly feeling tense hindi na kami mapakali parang naghihintay kami sa aming bitay. That must have been the feeling of those prisoners na nasa death row. Sobrang pinagdadasal namin na sana the remaining award would be for Erik. We didn’t enjoy much the program after the Mellow Vid category we were counting down the awards to be given and when the VJ’s announce the presenter for the FAVORITE MALE ARTIST, naka cross yung finger ko I was miming pls God pls God and I was at the edge of my sit. It was solemn while the nominees for the said category is being presented thru the monitors provided no one from us dare to scream for Erik, nobody in the crowd. It’s as if everybody is waiting who gets the award. But when the the presenter announced Erik Santos as the winner grabe sobrang overwhelming ang feeling. Man who wouldn’t feel that way it’s The FIRST Ever Myx Music awards we are talking that is freaking history! Napatayo talaga kami at nagtatalon at tumili…pacenxa we kinda agaw the spotlight from Erik hehe. Dina nga namin maxado naabsorb thank you speech ni Erik but I did see mejo nablangko siya he kinda forgot who else to be thank hehe diko na rin namalayan pagbaba nia ng stage kasi ever text text na kami at ikalat ang magandang balita! Naku windang na kami hanggang sa matapos ang awards night. Pag uwi nina erik sa may harap namin sila dumaan, mejo nagkachikahan makikita sa mukha ni erik ang sobrang saya. Even with Rufa Mae I had a short exchange words with her sabi ko ang ganda mo naman at ang guapo ng partner mo she told me back with her famous own accent thank you shempre todo support! Si Erik naman wala masyado masabi nakangiti lang super happy sa mga pangyayari! Even though we didn’t get the mellow Video awards it wasn’t bad at all at least we got the prestigious major awards for Male Artist so to all the voters you know who you are esp. sa mga nangarir talaga. Job well done guys congratulation to all of us. God loves us!
